I've been practising Aikido for 19+ years with my Sensei Andy Squires. He trained me from white belt (9th kyu) to black belt (2nd dan). It has been a long road and when I reached Shodan, the pain and hard work was all worth it. I've trained with some of the best practitioners of Aikido in the world (Takano Shihan, Joe Thambu, Paul and Eva Stephens and Robert Mustard are just a few) and however good you think you are, you are soon brought down to earth again with a bump! Aikido is a way of life, you are constantly learning, re-evaluing and honing your techniques. I now assist Sensei Andy in his lessons and I hope that my experience and knowledge can go on to help teach new and existing students this beautiful martial art - AIKIDO.
